For a second day, employees of the Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC) are expected to stage a sick-out.

According to the Caribbean Broadcasting Corporation, almost 95 percent of staff members, most of whom are unionized, have been calling in sick since Wednesday, in protest of a slew of changes being executed by management.

Management has started a restructuring process which involves cutting staff without concluding discussions with the Barbados Workers’ Union.

Director of Corporate Affairs at the CXC, Sharon Armstrong-Mullah, says management has not been notified of any action.
