A public lecture on Medical Marijuana will be held here later today.

The Integrated Medical Care (IMC) clinic is sponsoring this lecture on Medical Marijuana as their contribution to the continuing ‘conversation’ on this increasingly popular topic.

A release from the organizers says this lecture aims to ‘de-mystify’ the issue of medical marijuana by having medical professionals in the field share their experiences with the public, including students and their parents.

The topic is “Why Medical Marijuana” and will be delivered by Dr. Dale Dang-le-ben, from Dominica, who is a trauma/general and critical care surgeon and is also involved in advanced laparoscopy.

Dr. Masada James whose Clinic is sponsoring the event will also present his point of view, while, former Minister of Health Dr. Jerrol Thompson will update the gathering on the legislation related to Medical Cannabis.

The lecture takes place at the Methodist Church Hall in Kingstown from 7:00pm.

Following the presentations, the public can field questions to clarify any misconceptions they may have, or share their views on the subject.
