The Ministry of Education yesterday commenced the distribution of a $500 award to 880 students who sat the 2015 examinations for their CSEC, CAPE and Associate Degrees.
Speaking at the handing over ceremony yesterday at the Villa campus of the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Community College, Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves said it is costing the government some $440,000 to payout this monetary award to the students.
The Prime Minister told the students he will continue to have them as one of the principle emphasis in his head, daily.
Students, who were unable to attend yesterday’s handing over ceremony, may collect their reward today at the Ministry of Education. Recipients must take along proof of identity bearing a photograph.
