Minister of Finance Camillo Gonsalves will present his 2018 Budget address in Parliament this afternoon.
This is Minister Gonsalves first Budget presentation, after having taken up the portfolio of Finance Minister in November 2017.
The Budget Session is scheduled to begin at 4:00pm.
It will be preceded by the Throne Speech from Governor General, His Excellency, Sir Fredrick Ballantyne.
Last week, lawmakers approved the Estimates of Revenue and Expenditure for the 2018 fiscal year, which amounts to 993-million, 535-thousand 449 dollars.
The 2018 Estimates represents a 1.7 percent increase over the approved Budgetary Estimates for 2017.
