The World Paediatric Project (WPP) in collaboration with the Ministry of Health will be conducting a free orthopaedic clinic this weekend.

The clinic takes place this Sunday September 2, 2018 and caters for all children up to the age of 21 years old.

The Orthopaedic Mission will evaluate children with club feet, severe bowing of the legs and unequal length of legs.

At the orthopaedic mission in September 2017, 32 patients were evaluated, 11 of those were regional patients. There were 15 surgeries provided.

Lauren McIntosh, WPP Executive Director of the Eastern Caribbean, indicated her delight at the continued impact of these missions.

“The ability to provide children with the opportunity of diagnostic and surgical critical care in a multitude of paediatric subspecialties is reflective of WPP’s purpose to healing children and improving healthcare capacity” McIntosh said.

Parents and guardians of children who may need to be assessed are asked to contact World Paediatric Project office at 784-451-2989 or 784-494-2751 for more information.

The World Paediatric Project offers surgical and diagnostic critical paediatric care to children of the Eastern Caribbean and has been actively working in St. Vincent and the Grenadines since 2002.
