“Go Creative: Do Science.”

That is the theme for the 2018 VINLEC National Science Fair which will be held from January 29 to February 2.

The Science Fair will take place at the Kingstown Methodist Church Hall from 9:00am to 4:30pm, daily.

Delivering remarks this morning at the launch of the event at the Curriculum Unit Conference Room, Senior Education Officer, Mrs. Aldia Gumbs-Dyer, said the National Science Fair aims to stimulate personal and national growth by providing opportunities for participants to develop their creativity and innovation through healthy competition.

Mrs. Dyer commended the schools from out-lying areas that went the extra mile to participate in the National Science fair in 2017. She noted that the large percentage of the projects submitted last year showed ingenuity, resourcefulness and dedication on the part of the students.

Meanwhile, Tamar Job-Sprott, Communications Officer at the St. Vincent Electricity Services Limited (VINLEC) commended the Ministry of Education for hosting the National Science Fair and pledged VINLEC’s continued investment in the activity.
