The St. Vincent Electricity Services Limited (VINLEC) is encouraging customers to track their electricity consumption so as to ensure their electricity bill does not increase to a very high level.

VINELC’s Communications Officer, Mrs. Tamara Job-Sprott reminded persons that once the fuel surcharge increases then if you consume more your electricity bill will get higher.

According to Mrs. Job-Sprott tracking your electricity consumption allows householders to become familiar with their pattern of electricity consumption over extended periods.

Mrs. Job-Sprott said that persons can also track electricity consumption by monitoring their electricity meters.

The VINLEC Communication Officer also explained that running air conditioned units in the home for extended periods, are among things that can lead to an increase in electricity consumption.
