Three Vincentians have been successful in attaining Chevening Scholarships to pursue a one year Master’s degree in the United Kingdom (UK) for the academic year 2018-2019.

The successful applicants are Natesha Alexander, Kesley Cambridge and Tedra Kirby.

This year, St. Vincent and the Grenadines secured the most places for the scholarship programme from the Eastern Caribbean islands.

St. Vincent and the Grenadines secured three out of ten places, while there were two successful applicants from Antigua and Barbuda, one from Barbados, one from Dominica, one from St. Kitts and Nevis and two from St. Lucia.

The Chevening scholarships are awarded to future leaders, influencers and decision makers from all over the world to develop professionally and academically, network extensively, experience UK culture and build lasting positive relationships with the UK.

Chevening is the UK government’s international Awards programme aimed at developing global leaders and is funded by the Foreign and Commonwealth office and partner organizations.

The application period for the 2019/2020 scholarships is now open and eligible Vincentians are encouraged to apply.
