Venezuela’s Ambassador to St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Yuri Pimentel, has welcomed the recent signing of a project agreement, which he says will aid in the strengthening of trade between Venezuela and St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

The agreement, signed on Tuesday at the Ministry of Agriculture conference room is valued 4.5 million US dollars, with funding from the Hugo Chavez Frias Petrocaribe Action Plan for the Eradication of Poverty and Hunger.

Ambassador Pimentel said countries must work together to address the problem of hunger and poverty.

Meanwhile, Component Coordinator for the Venezuela Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), Circo Marcan, commended both governments for undertaking the initiative, which he said is a good example of South-South Cooperation.
