A total of two hundred book bags and other school supplies were donated to students of the Sandy Bay Government and Secondary schools, Langley Park Government and the Pamelus Burke Primary school.

The donation was made by former resident of Georgetown, Neil Corke.

Corke in conjunction with the Ministry of Education and his agent Tyrone Burke and his wife Hermisteen Burke handed over the donations to the students on Monday September 17, 2018.

Corke, who now resides in the United States of America, has been making contributions of this kind for four consecutive years.

Minister of Education, St. Clair Prince at the handing over ceremony thanked Mr. Corke for the supplies and urged the students to “read and be responsible with their belongings.”
