Twenty-two Calypsonians have been selected from the Calypso Preliminaries to compete in the Calypso Semi Finals scheduled for Friday June 30, 2017 at the Victoria Park commencing at 8:00pm.
The semi-finalists includes Dennis Bowman of Dynamites Calypso Tent; Chewalee ‘Chewalee’ Johnson, Glenroy ‘Sulle’ Caesar and Maxwell “Tajoe” Francis of Graduates Calypso Tent.
From On Tour Calypso Tent are Kenneth ‘Vibrating Scakes’ Alleyne, John ‘I’ Oliver, Grantley ‘Ipa’ Constance, Elvis ‘Abby Jah’ Abby, Robert ‘Patches’ King, Wendell ‘Speeshie’Goodrich and Glenford ‘Azarah’ Charles.
Those selected from Upstage includes Joanna Christopher, Lornette ‘Fya Empress’ Nedd, Shaunelle Mc Kenzie, Cleopatra ‘Cleopatra’ Hendrickson, Fitzroy ‘Bro Ebony’ Joseph, Shena Collins, Cecile “Lil Bit” King, Brian ‘Sprinter’ John, Vivian ‘I Come’ Miller, Kristianna ‘Singing Kristy’ Christopher and Shernelle ‘Skarpyan’ Williams.
The Reserves are Gosnel ‘GC’ Cupid and Joel ‘Navel String’ Bartholomew.
These Calypsonians are invited to meet with representatives of the CDC and other officials today June 19, at the CDC’s Office at 5:00pm.
