Police in Jamaica on Monday March 21st arrested and charged three Vincentian crew members aboard a cruise ship at the Ocho Rios Pier in St. Ann, with breaches of the Dangerous Drug Act.

Arrested are 40-year-old Lloyd Thomas, 24-year-old Dasrick Moore and 25-year-old Kishorn Simon.

According to the Jamaica Observer, reports are that between 12:15pm and 5:00pm on Monday, the three were in the process of boarding the vessel when they were stopped and searched at a police checkpoint.

It was discovered that all three men had several parcels of cocaine hidden in their underwear.

Police said the combined weight of the seized cocaine is approximately five pounds, and has an estimated street value of 6 million Jamaica dollars.

The men were charged with possession of cocaine, dealing in cocaine and taking steps in preparation to export cocaine.

They are due to appear today, March 23rd in the St. Ann’s Bay Resident Magistrate’s Court.
