Some 92 young Vincentians will from today be given the opportunity to acquire skills which would enable them to access employment.

Today’s training commencement is being co-ordinated by the Division of Technical and Vocational Education of the Community College with funding from the Mustique Charitable Foundation.

The training coincides with World Youth Skills Day, observed annually on July 15th.

During an interview with W|E FM news– Acting Education Officer at the Department of Adult and Continuing Education Desrie Richards said that skills training is important, as it adds to academic learning while preparing them for the job market.

The commencement of today’s training – being held at the Technical Vocational Education at Community College will run until August 23rd.
