The Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan) will be hosting two meetings where presentations will be made on the 2018 Taiwan Scholarship Programmes.

The presentations will take place at Frenches House on January 23, at 4pm and at the SVG Community College Lecture Hall on February 6, at 4pm.

Vincentians who are interested in applying for the Taiwan Scholarships, namely the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) Taiwan Scholarship and Taiwan ICDF Scholarship, are encouraged to attend the sessions.

The Embassy will make an introduction of the aforementioned scholarship programmes, including their respective qualifications, requirements and application procedures.

Members of the SVG Taiwan Scholar Alumni Association will be present to share their experiences of studying and living in Taiwan and Project Managers from the Taiwan Technical Mission in SVG will brief on degree programmes in the area of agriculture and ICT in Taiwan.

The Taiwan Scholarship Programmes were launched in 2004 to encourage outstanding Vincentians to pursue higher education in Taiwan and since then more than 143 Vincentians have been awarded the scholarships.

Last year, there were 17 scholarship awardees.

The deadline is March 16th for Taiwan ICDF Scholarship and March 31st for MOFA Taiwan Scholarship.
