The campaign for a non-permanent seat on the UN Security Council by Saint Vincent and the Grenadines is in its final stages.

The staff at the Permanent Mission to the United Nations, lead by Ambassador Rhonda King is hosting a number of activities at the UN headquarters to raise awareness.

Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves will leave the state today for the United Nations to take part in the election slated for this Friday.

If elected, St. Vincent and the Grenadines will be the smallest state ever to be one of the ten Non-Permanent Members of the UN Security Council.
