St. Vincent and the Grenadines was recently represented at a special two-week course for diplomats from within CARICOM, organized by the Ministry of External Affairs – Foreign Service Institute in New Delhi India.

The course commenced on Monday November 13, and continued to Friday November 24, 2017.

The programme was in keeping with the vision of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Commerce to nurture and develop a professional, innovative and responsive public service organization which promotes an effective foreign and trade policy and a sustainable knowledge economy.

During the two week period, St. Vincent and the Grenadines was represented by Tamira Browne and Khalila Roache from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Commerce.

There were 10 other CARICOM countries represented: Antigua and Barbuda, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Grenada, Guyana, Haiti, Saint Lucia, St. Kitts and Nevis, and Suriname.

The diplomats were exposed to various aspects of India’s Foreign Policy, expertise on bilateral and multilateral arrangements and a range of institutions that support the fulfillment of foreign policy agendas.
