The Junior Council of the Girl Guides Association of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines will be hosting the inaugural Orange Day Public Speaking on Monday September 25, 2017.

Monday September 25, will be recognised globally as Orange Day.

The 25th of every month has been designated as “Orange Day” by the United Nations Secretary-General’s Campaign UNiTE to End Violence Against Women, to raise awareness and take action to end violence against women and girls.

The Public Speaking event will seek to advocate an end to violence in every form; specifically violence against women and girls.

Girl Guides and Ranger Guides from throughout Saint Vincent and the Grenadines will present on the topic: “Domestic Violence and Sexual Violence are among some of the most serious human rights violations in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Discuss”.

The event will be held from 4:30pm on Monday at the Girl Guides Headquarters at Level Garden.
