The St. Vincent and the Grenadines Co-operative League and the Financial Services Authority (FSA) will be hosting a training workshop this afternoon for Supervisory and Compliance Committee members of Credit Unions.
The workshop takes place from 1:30 this afternoon at the SVG Co-operative League Conference Room and will focus on the critical role Supervisory and Compliance Committee members play in ensuring the safety and soundness of credit unions.
During the workshop, new and existing supervisory committee members will get an opportunity to review their responsibilities in keeping with updated legislation and prudential standards for credit union oversight.
After completing the training participants will be able to verify procedures for effective internal controls, apply best practices for eradicating non-compliant activity, and better understand emerging risks and challenges facing the credit union industry today.
