Five steel pan sides and about 11 Mas Bands are scheduled to participate in the highly anticipated Steel and Glitter show that takes place tonight at Carnival City, Victoria Park.
Ms. Oneka Morgan, President of the Youlou Pan Movement (YPM), which is the governing body for steelpan in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, told WEFM News that the steel bands competing tonight are Sion Hill Euphonium Steel Orchestra, Starlight Steel Orchestra, Elite Steel Orchestra, Symphonix Steel Orchestra and South East Steel Orchestra Inc.
Ms. Morgan said they are expecting a high level of competitiveness in tonight’s Senior Panorama competition that begins at 8:00pm.
Ms. Morgan said the Girl’s High School, winners of the Vinlec Junior panorama competition will be performing at tonight’s event, as well as a group from Trinidad and Tobago and other local artistes.
Ms. Morgan said there will also be a drinks inclusive section at Victoria Park tonight.
