Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves says the government will be providing funds and Bailey bridges to Dominica in the aftermath of Tropical Storm Erika, which has left at least 25 people dead and millions of dollars in damages.

Speaking last night at a political Rally in Chateaubelair, Dr. Gonsalves said he has since spoken to Dominica’s Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerritt and discussions are being held about sending, through the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), medical personnel to that island.

Prime Minister Gonsalves said “Dominica is suffering and we have to help them”.

Dr. Gonsalves also said he has spoken to the Eastern Caribbean Group of Companies (ECGC) which has agreed to send provisions including flour, rice and animal feed to Dominica.

He further announced that Minister of Foreign Affairs, Senator Camillio Gonsalves is seeking to put together a big cultural rally to raise money for Dominica.
