Current and prospective judges were involved in a symposium on Saturday organized by the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Calypso Association.

The Judges’ symposium was held at the National Insurance Services (NIS) Training Room from 9:00am to 4:00pm and saw a total of 18 persons participating.

President of the Calypso Association- Earl Bennett said the objectives of the Symposium were to broaden and refresh the judges’ pool, retool the current judges and equip the prospective judges with the requisite tools for judging calypso, Ragga Soca and Soca.

Mr. Bennett said he is heartened by the number of young persons who have indicated their willingness to serve as judges.
