St. Lucia’s Police Commissioner, Severin Moncherry said that battling crime must have support from the Judiciary.

Expressing the concern about the calibre of weapons being recovered and the type of shell casings left behind at scenes of gun crimes, the Commission asserted that the battle against crime must be approached holistically.

He noted that in some instances people are arrested with high powered weapons and in a matter of days, they are reported to be out on bail, amounting to 5 thousand or 4 thousand dollars.
