Prime Minister Allen Chastanet says in the coming days, road rehabilitation projects will commence in Dennery South, Micoud South and Soufriere.

In a post on his official Facebook page, Chastanet disclosed that other major road rehabilitation projects  – which are currently in progress include Cas en Bas in Gros Islet, Ti Morne in Babonneau, Forestierre in Castries South East and Saltibus, Choiseul.

He noted that Economic Development Minister, Guy Joseph conducted a site visit Sunday in the community Belair to view the ongoing progress with the rehabilitation of the community road.

Earlier this year, the Department of Infrastructure  said it hads activated the delivery mechanism for successful implementation of its US$42 million Road Improvement and Maintenance Program (RIMP IV).

“This RIMP IV is the largest single investment in roads being made by a Government here in Saint Lucia and will rehabilitate approximately 81km of roads in various communities,” according to the department.
