A ceremony will be held this afternoon for the official renaming of the South Leeward Highway to the Nelson Mandela Highway.
The ceremony which is being organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Commerce will take place at the Chauncey bus stop from 2:00PM.
Remarks will come from Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves, and Minister of Transport, Works, Urban Development and Local Government, Julian Francis.
The ceremony will be held under the distinguished patronage of Her Excellency Xoliswa N. Ngwevela, High Commissioner of the Republic of South Africa to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.
