Shaunelle Mc Kenzie one of the finalists in the 2017 Calypso Finals has withdrawn from the competition for personal reasons.
The Carnival Development Corporation (CDC) says Cleopatra Hendrickson, one of the reserves would replace Shaunelle in the finals.
The other nine Calypsonians competing in the Calypso Finals are: Shernelle ‘Skarpyon’ Williams, Roberts ‘Patches’ King, Lornette ‘Fyah Empress’ Nedd, Glenroy ‘Sulle’ Ceasar, Joanna Christopher, Shena Collis, Glenford ‘Azarah’ Charles, Cecile ‘Lil Bit’ Murray and Kenneth ‘Vibrating Scakes’ Alleyne.
The Calypso Finals takes place on Sunday July 9, 2017 from 8:00pm, during the Dimanche Gras Show at the Victoria Park.
