The Royal St.Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force will be hosting a two-day Non-Commissioned Officers (NCOs) Conference this week.

The conference will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday at the Peace Memorial Hall.

An opening ceremony will be held from 8:30 in the morning at the Peace Memorial Hall. The feature address will be delivered by Superintendent of Police (SOP), Mrs. Kamecia Blake-Byam, of the Regional Security System (RSS).

The Conference is being held as a refresher programme for longstanding Non-Commissioned Officers as well as an initiative to equip new Non-Commissioned Officers with the necessary tools to carry out their duties.

It is also being held to identify and recommend best practices for fostering stronger collaborative relations between the police and the public they protect.

During the conference there will be presentations on topics such as Electronic Interviewing; Crime Scene Management; Customer Service; Remittance/Returns of Warrants; Traffic Offences; Classification of Offences; Police Leadership and Management; Station Management; Domestic Violence; and Points to Prove.
