Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves will be leading a small delegation on an official visit to Japan, next month.

Dr. Gonsalves and his delegation, which includes his wife Eloise Gonsalves and Edmond Jackson, the Director General of Finance and Planning, are expected to leave the state on August 3, 2018.

The visit comes at the invitation of Japanese Prime Minster, Shinzo Abe.

Both Prime Ministers are scheduled to meet one on one, after which a dinner will be held for Prime Minister Gonsalves and his delegation.

Prime Minister Gonsalves said at a media conference yesterday that having a meeting with the third largest economy in the world comes as this country continues its thrust to develop stronger relations with Japan.

Dr. Gonsalves and his delegation are scheduled to arrive in Japan on August 5 and depart on August 9.
