Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves says his Unity Labour Party (ULP) administration has distributed some 5,000 lots of land to Vincentians, at a value of over 100 million dollars since coming to office in 2001.
He made the disclosure while delivering the feature address on Tuesday at a ceremony at the Fair Hall Government School where the government presented more than 50 residents of Fair Hall and Glen with offer letters for ownership of lands.
Prime Minister Gonsalves said that prior to the ULP coming to office, lands in the Fair Hall/Glen community were sold at $3 per square foot, but under his government the lands are being offered to the residents at a cheaper price.
