Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves has pleaded with persons here in St. Vincent and the Grenadines to be extra careful at the beaches and on the roads over this Easter weekend.

Speaking on Tuesday at a press conference at Cabinet Room, Prime Minister Gonsalves called on persons to exercise great caution while engaging in their various recreational activities, so that we can come out of the holidays without any fatalities.

The Prime Minister said he has spoken with Commissioner of Police, Mr. Michael Charles to ensure that the traffic department and Coast Guard are on alert, and available to pull persons off the road if need be for their own sake and other people’s sake.

Prime Minister Gonsalves appeal comes in wake of the drowning earlier this week of Kimron Lowman, a 13 year old student of Edinboro.
