Tournament director Jennifer Nero has hailed the organizing committees of the ongoing ICC Women’s Twenty20 World Cup in St. Lucia and Guyana, following the completion of group stages in those two territories.

Nero, who is also a director of Cricket West Indies, said the tournament has attracted record numbers of spectators and the hard work done in the preparation stage had paid huge dividends.

Meanwhile, Australian Stuart Law has apparently ended his stint with West Indies ahead of the Bangladesh series which bowls off later this week.

The 50-year-old Law has not travelled with the Caribbean side for the tour comprising two Tests, three One-Day Internationals and three Twenty20 Internationals, and Cricket West Indies announced on Monday it had appointed fielding coach Nic Pothas as the interim head coach.
