Several members of the Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force were recognized and rewarded on the weekend, for their professional service and dedication to duties during the year 2015.

During the annual awards ceremony held on Saturday night at the Police Canteen, awards were presented to the most outstanding police officer in the various districts, retirees, and the Policeman and policewoman of the year 2015.

Police Constable (PC) 389 Careen Baptiste received the Commissioner’s Award for Bravery; Most Outstanding Officer in the Human Resource and Planning Department went to Sergeant 608 Hanif Johnson, while PC 380 Lester James received the award for Most Outstanding at Exhibits.

The award for Policewoman of the Year 2015 went to WPC 707 Engel Haywood who is attached to the Port Security, while the Policeman of the Year for 2015 award went to Sergeant Dwayne Bailey who is attached to the Rapid Response Unit (RRU).
