Police have launched an investigation into two homicides.

According to Police, Julian Murray a 58 year old labourer of Mahoe was involved in an altercation with some relatives on March 24.

Murray sustained injuries which prompted concerned citizens to take him to the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital on March 27. He succumbed to his injuries on the morning of March 28.

Two persons are in custody assisting the police with the investigations.

In the other incident, Brendon Goodgie, a 59 year old watchman of Hamilton Bequia, who worked at Port Elizabeth Vegetable Market died on March 27 following an altercation with a man.

According to Police, Goodgie is believed to have been knocked unconscious during the incident that occurred at the Port Elizabeth Harbour. He reportedly fell into sea and had to be fished out.

He was rushed to the Port Elizabeth Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

A man is in custody assisting the police with the investigations.
