Police are investigating a shooting and stabbing incident that occurred at a bar in Edinboro, last night, June 13, 2017.
WEFM was informed that police received information at around 11:23pm that a woman was shot and a man stabbed at the West Side bar located at just above the Kingstown Cemetery along the road to Edinboro.
The woman identified only as Daneka, who goes by the alias “Shorty”, is said to be about 20 years old. She sustained a gunshot wound to her neck during an altercation in which she inflicted stab wounds to a man identified as Junior Francis, who is said to be in his early 50s.
The reason for the altercation is being investigated.
Daneka is currently hospitalized in a serious condition at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital, while Francis was treated at the hospital and discharged.
He is assisting police with their investigations.
