In an effort to curb the early morning and evening traffic congestion along the Arnos Vale main road, arrangements are being made to restore traffic onto the bridge at the E.T. Joshua Airport.

This was disclosed by Minister of Transport, Works, Local Government, Urban Development and Postal Services, Julian Francis during his contribution to the debate on the 2018 Estimates of Revenue and Expenditure in Parliament on Wednesday.

Minister Francis said an assessment of the bridge at E. T. Joshua has been carried out, and it has been deemed to be structurally sound for single lane traffic and no large eighteen wheelers.

While not revealing a time frame for completion of this project, Minister Francis said he does not believe it will incur any significant costs.

The Transport Minister noted however, that before proceeding in this regard, close attention has to be paid to crossing the lane in the area of C. K. Greaves Supermarket at Arnos Vale where they will bring the traffic out onto, which is no doubt going to have a backup of vehicular traffic, particularly on afternoons.
