Petit Bordel Secondary School, St. Vincent Grammar School and LX 2 all emerged first place winners in the 2017 I Square competition organized by the National Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (NTRC).

The Competition aims to encourage students and members of the public to put forward Ideas and Mobile Applications that can facilitate the implementation of new systems or improve existing systems within both the public and the private sectors of St. Vincent and the Grenadines so as to improve the delivery of their services to consumers.

This year’s competition comprised of two categories: the Secondary Category that catered for participants attending Secondary schools, and an Open category that catered for entries from residents who are under 35 years of age.

PBSS Inventors of the Petit Bordel Secondary School won the Secondary Schools Idea Category, with Fearless Leaders of Central Leeward Secondary School placing second and UISS Geo of Union Island Secondary School placing third.

First place in the Secondary Schools Mobile Application Category went to Astra of the St. Vincent Grammar School, with Maks Squad of the St. Vincent Grammar School and Breaking Point of St. Joseph Convent Kingstown, placing second and third, respectively.

In the open category of the competition, LX 2 took the top spot, with Green Spin second and The Brogrammers Inc. in third place.

The St. Vincent Girls High School was the school with the most entries in the competition.
