Persons in this country, who intend to engage in protest action, have been cautioned to ensure that they do so within the established legal boundaries, outlined in the laws of St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

This admonition came from Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves speaking earlier today at a press conference at Cabinet Room.

The Prime Minister said he has no problem with people protesting, but said they must do so within certain legal boundaries.

Prime Minister Gonsalves, comments comes amidst ongoing protest action in capital city Kingstown, by supporters of the New Democratic Party (NDP), in wake of their recent defeat at the polls on December 9th, 2015.

Meanwhile, Dr. Gonsalves also disclosed that the police have contacted the US authorities and informed them about postings on social media by some persons residing in the United States, which are geared towards inciting hatred and violence here in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, and in particular against the Prime Minister.
