The Ministry of Education will tomorrow begin the distribution of a $500 award to 880 students who sat the 2015 examinations for their CSEC, CAPE and Associate Degrees.

A release from the Ministry of Education states that of the 880 recipients, 547 wrote the CSEC exams, 198 CAPE and 135 Associate Degrees.

The monetary award will be distributed from 9:00am tomorrow at the Villa campus of the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Community College and recipients must take along proof of identity bearing a photograph.

Recipients, who are unable to attend tomorrow’s handing over ceremony, may collect their reward at the Ministry of Education beginning at 9:30am on Wednesday November 11th, 2015.

To be eligible for the award, CSEC students must have gained five passes (Grades 1 to 3) including English A and Mathematics, while, CAPE students must have gained Grades 1 to 5 in at least two two-unit subjects as well as in Communication Studies or Caribbean Studies.

Students in the various Associate Degree programmes must have gained at least a B-average.
