Over 70 Police Officers within the Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force as well as rank and file officers, will have an opportunity to further improve their communication strategy when the public relations and complaints office of the Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force host a two-days of communication workshops.

The workshops will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday the 5th and 6th of March, on the theme “New Perspectives towards greater relations: Re-enforcing Effective Communications as a force for Change” at the Fisheries Conference Room commencing at 9:00 am daily.
During the sessions Officers will learn about Community/customer relations/Neighbourhood watch programs, Relations with the media, Prejudices and stereotypes in communication, The police image (off the job) and Social media- friend or foe.
The facilitators will be Ms. Corleta Ollivierre, veteran media practitioner and Former Manager of the National Broadcasting Corporation (NBC Radio 705) and Inspector of Police, Mr. Hawkins Nanton.

An official opening ceremony will take place on Tuesday March 5, 2019 commencing at 9:00 am. Commissioner of Police, Mr. Colin John will deliver remarks at the ceremony and Prime Minister and Minister of National Security, Dr. Hon. Ralph Gonsalves will deliver the keynote address.
