The National Nine Mornings Committee says it is working with the St. Vincent Electricity Services Limited (VINLEC) to improve the lighting of capital city Kingstown during the Christmas Nine Mornings Festival.

This is according to Chairman of the National Nine Mornings Committee, Michael Peters.

Speaking to reporters at a press conference earlier this week, Mr. Peters said the committee has been disappointed over the years that the business community have not readily responded to their requests to light up their business premises in the month of December.

He noted that the Minister of Tourism, Sports and Culture along with the National Nine Mornings Committee will be meeting with various stakeholders to see ways they can improve the Nine Mornings Festival.

Mr. Peters said meetings will also be held with the Chamber of Industry and Commerce as well as business houses.

Mr. Peters said that among the Nine Morning Committee’s plans this year is to bring back and develop some of the programmes that were part of the Christmas Nine Mornings Celebrations over the years.
