The National Emergency Management Organisation (NEMO) today launched the mobile application for the St. Vincent and the Grenadines National Emergency Warning System and Early Warning Checklist.

The Emergency Warning system known as CAP – Common Alerting Protocol is a mobile application that is being used by disaster offices in the region, to provide alerts to the public of an impending hazard or threat.

It was funded by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) with support from ECHO – the European Union Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid.

The launching ceremony was held this morning at NEMO’s Conference Room at Old Montrose.
