The National Emergency Management Organisation (NEMO) in collaboration with the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Red Cross Society is coordinating a Nation-wide Appeal Effort to provide relief supplies for the people of Dominica who were affected following the passage of Tropical Storm Erika last Thursday August 27th.

A release from NOMO says that information submitted by the Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) in Dominica indicates that among the items required include Diapers, wipes, milk and cereals for adults and babies; Juices and snacks for babies; Hand Sanitizers; Canned and dried food stuff and cleaning supplies.

There is also a need for Water Pumps; Chains Saws; Power generators; Lighting equipment; Wheel barrows; Helmets and boots; Ropes; Hygiene Kits; Gloves; Shovels; Reflector vests; pix and axes.

Persons who wish to donate these items are asked to drop them off from today September 2nd, to Monday September 7th, 2015 at NEMO’s Office at Old Montrose, NEMO’s Warehouse at Campden Park (near Rudy’s Electrical) and at the SVG Red Cross Society’s Office in Kingstown.
