The seven members of the New Democratic Party (NDP) who were successfully reelected in the December 9th, general elections will be sworn in when Parliament convenes for its first sitting on Tuesday December 29th, 2015.

This was announced yesterday by leader of the NDP, Mr. Arnhim Eustace in a statement read on Nice Radio.

The NDP has refused to accept the results of the general election, and at a Press Conference on December 12th, Mr. Eustace said the NDP’s members will not be sworn into office, neither will they go to parliament until this matter is resolved, since to go to Parliament will be to concede and they are not conceding.

But in his statement yesterday Mr. Eustace said the party had been legally advised that the decision to not be sworn in could lead to the loss of the seven seats the party currently holds.
