The Ministry of Tourism, Sports and Culture in collaboration with the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Teachers Credit Union will be hosting the National Schools Band Showcase on Saturday March 24, 2018 at the tarmac of the decommissioned E.T Joshua Airport.
The Secondary School Bands Showcase will be held under the theme “Bringing a Modern Approach to Music Education” and is part of continuing efforts to develop the Creative and Cultural Industry here in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
In preparation for the showcase, a music workshop was held from 9:00 am today at the SVG Teachers Credit Union conference room, for all the students who will be participating in the showcase.
The Showcase aims to provide an opportunity for secondary students to participate in the live music art form, create early interest in the Arts and to pave the way forward for future bands and musicians
