The National AIDS Secretariat of St. Vincent and the Grenadines is again partnering with Scotiabank SVG to celebrate Regional Testing Day 2017.

Regional HIV Testing Day is observed annually on June 30, and the main objective of this annual initiative is to heighten public awareness on the critical importance of voluntary counseling and testing in preventing the spread of HIV infection and to mobilize the general population to be tested.

Over the past ten years Regional HIV Testing Day (RTD) has become an integral part of calendars of Caribbean countries.

Since its inception countries have expanded the services and each year there been more people coming forward to get tested and know their status.

Throughout the week testing has been offered at varying testing sites here in St. Vincent and the Grenadines and testing and celebrations will culminate tomorrow June 30, 2017.

To commemorate the occasion tomorrow, there will be a display and information booth at the main Scotiabank branch in Kingstown and testing will be done at the National AIDS Secretariat from 8:00am to 4:00pm and continue at the Family Planning Unit from 4:30pm to 9:00pm.
