The Vincentian public now have an opportunity to choose from and purchase a wide selection of books as the “World’s Largest Floating Bookshop”, the MV Logos Hope, officially opened earlier today here in St. Vincent.

From today November 21 to December 3, the Ship will be berth at the Kingstown Container Port where persons can experience the Book Fair and International Café featuring over five thousand different titles of books covering a wide range of subjects including Science, Sports, Hobbies, Cookery, Arts, Medicine, and Languages.

Speaking this morning at an opening ceremony held on board the vessel, Director of the MV Logos Hope, Mr. Pil-Hun Park said the mission of the Logos Hope is to advance the well being of people everywhere.

Mr. Park said the crew of the vessel is excited to be here in Kingstown, St. Vincent.

Meanwhile, Deputy Prime Minister Sir Louis Straker welcomed the MV Logos Hope to the Kingstown Harbour and said that the ship is an object lesson of how people from different backgrounds and cultures can come together and dwell together in peace and love.

The MV Logos Hope opens from 2:00pm to 9:00pm today; on Tuesday through Saturday 10:00 AM – 9:00 PM; and on Sundays 2:00 PM – 9:00 PM. The ship is CLOSED on Mondays.

Entrance fee is EC$2 per person. Adults 65 and over enter for free. Children under 12 years old enter for free, but must be accompanied by an adult.
