Five missing teenage girls in Barbados were discovered after a police operation at a house in The City on Saturday night.

Police public relations officer, Acting Assistant Superintendent David Welch, confirmed last night an adult was being questioned by lawmen in relation to the matter.

The 14-year-olds, all from the same rural secondary school, are now listed as traced after police put out a missing bulletin for them on Friday and Saturday.

However, yesterday a sixth 14-year-old student from the same school was reported missing since last Thursday.

Eight missing teens in 11 days has prompted UNICEF Children’s Rights Champion, Faith Marshall-Harris to say it is time to put a social worker in every secondary school.
