The Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment is continuing to implement programs with sustainable developmental practices, building on the successful implementation of the Georgetown Smart Hospital.

The Ministry, in collaboration with the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) and the Department for International Development (DFID) will continue the implementation of the Smart Hospital Project Phase 2 with the retrofitting of the Chateaubelair Hospital.

A meeting with key stakeholders and the contractor for the retrofitting of the Chateaubelair Smart Hospital will be held today August 31, 2017, at the Chateaubelair Hospital, commencing at 2:30pm.

Meanwhile, works are ongoing to outfit the learning resource centre in Fitz Hughes, to temporarily accommodate the services of the Chateaubelair Hospital.

Two buildings on the hospital compound are also being renovated to accommodate clinic services during this period. The renovations to temporarily accommodate the hospital and clinic services are expected to be completed by mid September.
