The Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment has extended the deadline for its Biodiversity poster competition to this Friday November 13th, 2015.

A release from the Ministry says the competition seeks to give Vincentians an opportunity to use their creative skills to design a poster that would inform the public how modern biotechnology works.

The poster competition is also designed to show that the public can play a part in the establishment of the National Biosafety Framework.

The theme for the competition is “Uses of Modern Biotechnology: Implications for International Trade and the protection of Biodiversity and Human Health,” and the competition is open to Vincentian nationals residing in St. Vincent and the Grenadines or in the Diaspora.

The first, second and third-place winners will receive a Samsung Galaxy Tab 4, a BLU Life One 4G Smartphone, and a Sony Digital Camera, respectively.

Posters with completed registration form must be dropped off at 4:00pm on Friday November 13th, at the National Biosafety Framework Project Office at the Environmental Management Department located on the Medical Complex Building in Kingstown.
