The Ministry of Education, National Reconciliation and Information in collaboration with Hodder Education hosted the final of the Primary School National Math Quiz 2018, last Friday at the Peace Memorial Hall.
Out of forty-eight schools throughout the island which competed in the preliminary round earlier this year, nine advanced to the finals where Amara Adams of the Cane End Government School copped the first position.
Mrs. Aldia Gumbs-Dyer, Senior Education Officer in the Ministry of Education said the Math Quiz primarily seeks to address Math education within our schools.
Mrs. Gumbs-Dyer further explained that the quiz has three main objectives.
Meanwhile, Hodder Education Representative, Byron Wilson said that for three years Hodder Education has been trying to execute the math quiz and noted that Hodder Education is committed to the development.
