The Ministry of Finance, Economic Planning Sustainable Development and Information Technology will be celebrating International Day of Biodiversity under the theme “Celebrating 25 years of action for Biodiversity.”

The United Nations has proclaimed May 22 the International Day for Biological Diversity (IDB) to increase understanding and awareness of biodiversity issues.

To mark the occasion, the Ministry will be embarking on a nature tour to appreciate and learn of the importance of St. Vincent and the Grenadines’ flora and fauna.

One tour will take place on May 22, 2018 to the Vermont Nature Trail from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, while the other is set for May 24, 2018 to the Brighton Mangrove Swamp from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.

Interested persons can register at the Sustainable Development Unit located on the second floor of the Administrative Building, on Bay Street, in Kingstown.
